Buck

Buck is a minor character who appears in the Pokémon anime during the Diamond & Pearl series (specifically in one episode focused on a treasure-hunting adventure).

He's portrayed as a young treasure hunter/explorer with a laid-back, adventurous personality. He uses his Baltoy to help sense and locate hidden artifacts or treasures. In his episode, he encounters Ash and his friends while searching for a legendary treasure based on an old map, and they team up to find it on an island (Dandelion Island in some descriptions).

Appearance-wise (from the anime adaptation), he has red hair tied in a ponytail with a distinctive yellow stripe, red eyes, and wears casual clothes like a red T-shirt with a black design and baggy black shorts.

Unlike his game counterpart (who is Flint's younger brother and tied to Stark Mountain/Battle Frontier events), the anime version is a standalone, one-off treasure-seeking character without those family or Frontier connections emphasized. He doesn't appear in other major arcs.
