Elias Brandt Dale Raeven

Elias Brandt Dale Raeven (also known as Marquis Raeven) is a prominent noble from the Re-Estize Kingdom in Overlord. He serves as the leader of the King's Faction and is widely regarded as the most influential and powerful among the Six Great Nobles.

He appears as a tall, thin man with slicked-back blond hair, pale skin, and narrow eyes, giving him a somewhat snake-like or cunning appearance (though he's still under 40 years old). Many characters initially view him as an opportunist or even a potential traitor due to his calculated, neutral-seeming political maneuvering—earning him nicknames like "the bat" for straddling both royal and noble sides.

In reality, he is a dedicated patriot who works tirelessly behind the scenes to hold the decaying kingdom together despite its internal divisions and external threats. He's shown to be intelligent, cautious, and surprisingly family-oriented (a caring father). He appears mainly in Overlord II (Season 2 of the anime) and plays key roles in later arcs involving the kingdom's conflicts with Nazarick.
