Diavolo is the main antagonist of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind (the anime adaptation of Part 5, also known as Vento Aureo).
He serves as the enigmatic and shadowy Boss of the powerful Italian crime syndicate Passione, which dominates Naples through activities like drug trafficking. Diavolo is extremely paranoid and obsessed with maintaining absolute secrecy—almost no one knows his true appearance, name, face, or past, as he goes to extreme lengths (including eliminating anyone who gets too close to discovering them) to erase all traces of his existence and achieve untouchable security and dominance.
For most of the series, he operates indirectly through his alternate personality, Vinegar Doppio (a more naive and subordinate persona who handles day-to-day communication and orders while believing he's speaking to the Boss on a "phone"). Diavolo himself only fully emerges later.
In terms of appearance (as shown in the anime when he reveals himself), he's a tall, lean, semi-muscular man in his 30s with distinctive long hair featuring a leopard-like spotted pattern, zig-zagged parting, and green eyes with fragmented irises.
His Stand, King Crimson, is one of the most powerful and feared in the series, granting him the terrifying ability to erase segments of time and see brief glimpses of the future, making him nearly untouchable in combat.
Overall, Diavolo embodies ruthless ambition, extreme paranoia, and a devilish aura (his name literally means "devil" in Italian), driving the central conflict as Team Bucciarati (including protagonists like Giorno Giovanna and Trish Una, his own daughter) seeks to uncover and overthrow him.
