The King

The King in the Goblin Slayer anime (and the broader series) is the ruler of the kingdom where most of the story takes place.

He's portrayed as a responsible monarch who takes his duties seriously — handling everything from agricultural policies to dealing with threats from remnants of the Demon Lord's forces. He is a former high-ranking adventurer himself (known in his adventuring days as the "Knight of Diamonds"), which gives him practical insight into quests and monster problems.

In the anime adaptation (Season 1 and related content), he appears only briefly or is referenced indirectly, as the story focuses heavily on Goblin Slayer and lower-level threats rather than royal court drama. His role becomes a bit more noticeable in later light novel/manga arcs (e.g., quests he assigns or situations involving Goblin Slayer), but he's not a central character in the animated seasons.
