Zanka Nijiku

Zanka Nijiku is one of the main characters in the Gachiakuta anime (adapted from Kei Urana's manga, with the anime airing starting in July 2025 by Studio Bones).

He's a 17-year-old member of the Cleaners (specifically Team Akuta), a group that fights trash beasts and handles threats in the dystopian world below the Sphere.

Appearance-wise, Zanka is depicted as a tall, slender, and stylish teenager (around 178 cm) with fair skin. He has dark brown hair slicked back into a mullet style with blond accents/streaks, piercing navy blue eyes, uniquely shaved eyebrows patterned into three lines, and long dangling tassel piercings in his ears. He often wears a baggy Cleaners uniform with accessories like a navy sash and waist bag, giving him a sharp, meticulous, and somewhat edgy look.

In terms of personality (as shown in the anime), he appears outwardly calm and composed but internally deals with deep struggles, including an inferiority complex and envy toward those with natural talent or "gifted" abilities. Coming from the prestigious Nijiku noble family (known for producing Hell Guards), he originally trained to follow that path like his siblings but ultimately chose a different route with the Cleaners, relying on hard work, determination, and his Vital Instrument rather than innate gifts.

He's portrayed as a hard-working, serious fighter who values effort and pushes himself to prove his strength despite not having special inherent talents. No major anime-specific deviations from the source are widely noted in his core depiction so far.
