Rudo Surebrec

Rudo Surebrec is the main protagonist of the Gachiakuta anime (produced by Bones and aired in 2025).

He's a teenage boy from the slums of the Sphere (the upper world), raised as an outcast among the "tribe folk" after being abandoned young due to his biological parents' exile. Adopted by a kind man named Regto, Rudo grows up scavenging and fixing trash, but he's falsely accused of murder and cast down into the Pit/Ground—a massive, hellish dump filled with waste and monsters.

In the anime's story, Rudo is thin and scrawny with spiky white hair (black tips), striking red eyes, and a generally intense, brooding look with eyebags.

Personality-wise, he's emotionally guarded, short-tempered, and carries deep-seated anger and pain from his abusive past and betrayals—making him abrasive, fiercely independent, and quick to fight. Yet he's resilient, loyal to those who earn his trust, and sees value in what others discard (literally turning "trash" into power via his abilities as he joins the Cleaners to survive and seek revenge against the corrupt elite who threw him away).

He's voiced by Aoi Ichikawa in Japanese (with Bryson Baugus in the English dub), and his journey emphasizes raw survival, rage as fuel, and rejecting the society's disposability mindset.
