Sakonji Urokodaki

Sakonji Urokodaki is a major supporting character in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

He is a retired member of the Demon Slayer Corps and former Water Hashira (the previous Water Pillar before Giyu Tomioka). After retiring, he became a cultivator who trains prospective Demon Slayers at his remote mountain home.

Key characteristics:

• Wears a distinctive red tengu mask with a long nose at all times (his face is never shown in the series).
• Has a very strict, disciplined, and caring personality.
• Extremely skilled in Water Breathing techniques.
• Served as Tanjiro Kamado's main teacher and mentor during his grueling Final Selection training period.
• Also trained several other notable characters, including Sabito and Makomo (both of whom became very close to him like surrogate children).

He's known for his tough-love teaching style, deep sense of responsibility toward his students, and strong moral stance against demons. His training methods are notoriously harsh but highly effective.
