Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko Kamado is one of the main characters in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.

She is the younger sister of the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado. After her family was slaughtered by a demon, Nezuko herself was turned into a demon by Muzan Kibutsuji. Unlike typical demons, she retains strong human emotions, protects her brother, and refuses to harm or eat humans.

Key characteristics:

• Small stature and youthful appearance (she's physically around 14)
• Long dark brown-to-black hair that fades to flame-orange at the ends (especially after she regains more strength)
• Pinkish-red eyes with slit pupils (demon trait)
• Wears a bamboo muzzle/guard over her mouth (to prevent biting people)
• Usually stays small and childlike in her box during the day, but can grow to a more adult-like form when fighting seriously
• Possesses powerful blood demon art later in the series (explosive pink flames)

Despite being a demon, Nezuko is gentle, caring, fiercely protective of Tanjiro, and shows remarkable self-control and humanity — making her one of the most beloved characters in the series.
