About Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei Himejima is the Stone Hashira (Iwa Bashira) of the Demon Slayer Corps in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. He is widely regarded as the strongest and most powerful among all the Hashira.

He is a massive, towering, and extremely muscular man (standing around 220 cm / 7'3" tall), with spiky black hair shaved at the sides, a prominent horizontal scar across his forehead, and pale white eyes due to being blind since childhood (from a fever in his youth). Despite his intimidating, hulking appearance, he is deeply religious, compassionate, and emotional — often seen praying with prayer beads and tearing up easily out of empathy and sorrow.

Gyomei uses Stone Breathing and wields a unique flail-and-axe weapon (rather than a standard sword), compensating for his blindness with extraordinary senses and raw physical strength. He is a gentle giant at heart, serving as a mentor figure (notably to Genya Shinazugawa) while being one of the most respected and formidable demon slayers in the series.
