Isami Tahara

Isami Tahara is one of the key supporting characters in the Demon Lord, Retry! anime (including its sequel Demon Lord, Retry! R). He is the second NPC summoned by the protagonist Hakuto Kunai (the Demon Lord) from the game Infinity Game.

In the anime, Tahara is portrayed as a tall (around 182 cm), imposing 31-year-old man with short brown hair, brown eyes, and facial hair (often sporting a goatee or stubble). He has a teasing, laid-back, and provocative personality, frequently smirking or provoking others playfully, but he's also a highly capable "lazy genius" who adapts quickly and excels at whatever task he's given.

He specializes in firearms, commanding an arsenal of 47 guns (ranging from flintlocks to modern sniper rifles) that seem to have a will of their own—they can float, shoot autonomously on his orders, and provide infinite ammunition. Kunai summons him specifically to manage and defend Rabby Village (also called Rabbi Village), where he takes charge of construction, tactics, and protection using his military/special forces background and strategic expertise.

He's loyal to Kunai as his Number Two among subordinates, gets along well with others like Yu Kirino (though he's secretly wary of her past), and is notably very protective and doting toward children—stemming from his extreme attachment to his little sister Manami back in the game world (a classic "siscon" trait). In the story, he helps expand and safeguard the village while supporting the Demon Lord's goals.
