Kikyō Kushida

Kikyō Kushida (also romanized as Kikyou or Kikyo Kushida) is a prominent student in Class 1-D at the Advanced Nurturing High School in the Classroom of the Elite anime.

In the anime adaptation, she initially comes across as the cheerful, friendly, and outgoing "class idol" — always smiling, eager to befriend everyone (including persistently trying to connect with the aloof Suzune Horikita), and highly popular among her classmates, especially the boys, thanks to her cute appearance and warm demeanor.

She has shoulder-length beige/light brown hair (often with a headband), large crimson/reddish eyes, and a generally attractive, well-proportioned figure that draws attention early on.

However, the anime reveals (starting notably in Season 1, Episode 3) that this persona hides a much darker side: a two-faced nature with a vicious, foul-mouthed, and vindictive true personality that emerges when she thinks no one is watching or when her facade is threatened. She harbors intense resentment toward those who know her secret and is willing to go to extreme lengths to protect her "perfect" public image.

This duality makes her one of the more complex and memorable supporting characters in the early seasons, with her behavior tied to deep-seated insecurities and a drive for universal approval.
