Nagi "Alice" Arisuin

Nagi Arisuin (also commonly called Alice) is a supporting character in Chivalry of a Failed Knight (Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry). He is a first-year student at Hagun Academy and serves as the roommate and close friend/confidant of Shizuku Kurogane.

Alice has a very feminine appearance and demeanor — often described as having "the heart of a maiden" despite being born male — with long dark hair, soft features, and a calm, kind, and teasing personality. He frequently uses female pronouns or self-references in a feminine way in various translations and adaptations.

His Device is called Darkness Hermit, which allows him to manipulate shadows. His signature abilities include techniques like Shadow Bind, Shadow Walk, and others focused on shadow control, earning him the nickname "Black Sonia" (or Black Thorn/Black Assassin in some contexts).

Alice plays an important role in the story as a supportive friend to Shizuku, though he has a more complex background involving a tragic past and affiliations that lead to major plot developments (avoiding full spoilers here). He's generally portrayed as gentle, loyal to friends, and emotionally insightful.
