Denji is the main protagonist of Chainsaw Man.
He's a rough, broke, and deeply unlucky teenage boy who starts the story barely surviving by hunting devils to pay off his late father's massive debt. After a brutal betrayal, he merges with his chainsaw-devil companion Pochita, becoming a half-human, half-devil hybrid known as the Chainsaw Man.
Personality-wise, Denji is very blunt, simple-minded, and extremely honest about his desires. His biggest dreams are extremely basic and relatable ones: eating good food (especially junk food and jam on toast), sleeping in a real bed, having a girlfriend, touching boobs, and just living a normal, comfortable life — things most people take for granted.
Despite his crude, horny, and seemingly shallow outlook, he shows surprising loyalty, emotional vulnerability, and a growing (if messy) sense of care toward the few people who treat him decently.
In short: a chainsaw-headed, tragic, horny, food-obsessed, kind-of-dumb-but-pure-hearted teenage boy who became one of the most dangerous and iconic devils in existence.
