Ryūken Ishida

Ryūken Ishida (石田竜弦, Ishida Ryūken) is Uryū Ishida's father and the son of Sōken Ishida in Bleach. He is a pure-blooded (Echt) Quincy and often referred to as "The Last Quincy" (a title his son contests).

He serves as the director of Karakura Hospital, where he works as a skilled doctor.

In terms of appearance, Ryūken is a middle-aged man who looks fit for his age, typically seen wearing thin frameless glasses, a plain grey suit, light blue shirt, and a tie featuring Quincy crosses. He has narrow blue eyes, fair skin, and white/silver hair.

Personality-wise, he is cold, aloof, stern, pragmatic, and work-oriented, often displaying a gruff or cynical demeanor — especially toward his son — while maintaining a distant and stoic attitude. Despite this, he shows deep underlying loyalty to his Quincy heritage and family when it matters.
