Declan Akaba

Declan Akaba (known as Reiji Akaba in the Japanese version) is a major character and one of the main rivals in Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V. He serves as the young CEO of the powerful Leo Corporation, the company behind Action Duels.

Described as cold, calculating, and highly intelligent, Declan is a super-elite Duelist — notably the youngest ever certified for the pro circuit at age 15. He masters Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Summoning (and later Pendulum as well), using a "D/D" and "D/D/D" deck focused on complex combos and powerful boss monsters.

He starts as a strategic antagonist figure testing the protagonist Yuya Sakaki, but evolves into an ally, founding the Lancers group to oppose interdimensional threats tied to his family's past. Overall, he's portrayed as serious, composed, and determined, often prioritizing logic and long-term goals over emotions.
