Akiza Izinski

Akiza Izinski (also known as Aki Izayoi in the Japanese version) is a major character in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.

She is a powerful Psychic Duelist with genuine supernatural abilities, initially known as the feared "Black Rose Witch." Early in the series she is isolated, emotionally unstable, and harbors deep resentment toward the world due to years of rejection and trauma caused by her uncontrollable psychic powers, which caused destruction whenever she dueled or even got emotionally upset.

Akiza is characterized by:

• Long dark maroon hair
• Striking red eyes
• Elegant yet somewhat cold demeanor in her early appearances
• A signature gothic-inspired outfit as the Black Rose Witch (black dress, veil, and rose motifs)

Over the course of the series she undergoes significant character development, gradually finding friendship, acceptance, and emotional healing through her connection with Yusei Fudo and Team 5D's. She evolves from an antagonist into one of the main heroic characters, becoming kinder, more confident, and more in control of her powers.

Her ace monster is Black Rose Dragon, a powerful Plant-type Synchro Monster that fits her "rose" theme and destructive psychic abilities.
