Malva

Malva (known as Pachira in Japanese) is a character in the Pokémon anime, specifically appearing in Pokémon the Series: XY and XYZ, as well as the related Mega Evolution specials.

She is a member of the Kalos region's Elite Four, specializing in Fire-type Pokémon. She is also a well-known TV news reporter and broadcaster for the Holo Caster (the region's holographic news system), where she often delivers reports with a charismatic and persuasive style.

In the anime, Malva is portrayed as passionate, confident, and somewhat ruthless in battles, aggressively commanding her Pokémon (such as her Mega Houndoom in key fights). She initially shows support for Lysandre and has ties to Team Flare, but she ultimately turns against him upon witnessing the full threat he poses to the Kalos region, choosing to side with the heroes (including Ash and Alain) during the climactic events.
