Philip Dayton L'Eyre Montserrat

Philip Dayton L'Eyre Montserrat is a minor but notably foolish noble character in the anime Overlord (particularly prominent in Season 4 / the later light novel arcs).

He is the young head of House Montserrat, a relatively low-ranking noble family in the Re-Estize Kingdom. Philip is characterized as:

• Extremely arrogant and overconfident despite his mediocre status and abilities
• Rather dim-witted and lacking in political/common sense
• Convinced of his own cleverness and importance
• Prone to making catastrophically bad decisions while believing he's outsmarting everyone

His most infamous (and disastrous) actions involve him mistakenly believing he could plunder and provoke the Sorcerer Kingdom (Ainz Ooal Gown's nation) without consequences, leading to one of the most one-sidedly brutal examples of karmic retribution in the series.
