Éclair Éklair Éklare

Éclair Éklair Éklare (also romanized in various ways like Eclair Ecleir Eicler) is a minor but memorable character in the Overlord series.

He's an assistant butler serving in the Great Tomb of Nazarick, specifically helping maintain the 10th Floor (and sometimes standing in during Sebas Tian's absences). Despite being classified as a Birdman race, he has the appearance of an adorable Rockhopper penguin with blond hair. Because of his penguin physiology, he waddles/shuffles when moving and often has to be carried by other servants (like the homunculus manservants).

Personality-wise, he's extremely arrogant and full of self-importance — he boasts about his cleaning skills (claiming his toilets are so spotless you could lick them) and openly declares his grand ambition to one day rule Nazarick and sit on its throne. The other NPCs are aware of this "plan" (which was programmed into him by his creator, Ankoro Mocchi Mochi), but they mostly tolerate it as harmless eccentricity since his actual power level is quite low.

He appears briefly in the anime (notably in Season 2), often in comedic scenes, and is treated more like a cute, pompous joke character than a serious threat.
