Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto Uzumaki is the main protagonist of the anime/manga series Naruto.

He is a loud, energetic, optimistic, and extremely determined ninja from the Hidden Leaf Village (Konoha). As a child, Naruto was a notorious prankster and troublemaker who constantly sought attention and recognition because he was ostracized and feared by most of the village due to having the Nine-Tailed Fox (Kurama), one of the most powerful tailed beasts, sealed inside him since the day he was born.

Key characteristics:

• Bright orange jumpsuit (his signature outfit)
• Spiky blonde hair and bright blue eyes
• Whisker-like marks on his cheeks (a side effect of being the jinchūriki of the Nine-Tails)
• Never gives up attitude — his most defining trait is "nindō" (ninja way): he refuses to back down or go back on his word
• Dreams of becoming Hokage (the leader of the village) so that everyone will finally acknowledge and respect him

Naruto starts as an underdog with poor ninjutsu skills and almost no friends, but through hard work, unbreakable willpower, and forming deep bonds with others, he grows into one of the most powerful and respected shinobi in the series. His catchphrase is "Dattebayo!" (often translated as "Believe it!" or similar energetic exclamations).
