Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi Hatake is one of the most iconic characters in Naruto.

• Full title/nickname: Kakashi of the Sharingan (写輪眼のカカシ, Sharingan no Kakashi)
• Rank: Jōnin (later promoted to Hokage — the Sixth Hokage)
• Affiliation: Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village)
• Team: He is most famously the leader of Team 7, which consists of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Sakura Haruno.
• Appearance: Silver/gray spiky hair, usually wears a navy-blue face mask that covers the lower half of his face (only very rarely shown without it), and a slanted forehead protector that usually covers his left eye.
• Signature ability: He possesses a transplanted Sharingan (a powerful dōjutsu) in his left eye, originally belonging to his teammate Obito Uchiha. This allows him to copy jutsu, see chakra, and (later) use the Mangekyō Sharingan's Kamui technique.
• Personality: Calm, laid-back, habitually late, reads adult novels (Icha Icha series) in public, appears aloof/detached at first, but is extremely intelligent, highly skilled, caring toward his students, and deeply loyal to the village.
• Combat style: Versatile and tactical ninja — master of thousands of copied jutsu (hence the "Copy Ninja" nickname), expert in Lightning Release (most famous for Chidori/Raikiri), very skilled in taijutsu, kenjutsu (White Light Chakra Sabre), and ninken (summoning ninja dogs).

Kakashi is widely regarded as one of the strongest and coolest shinobi of his generation, and serves as both a mentor figure and a fan-favorite character throughout the series.
