Simon

Simon Berkley (also known as Simon) is a key antagonist in the anime adaptation of I Left My A-Rank Party to Help My Former Students Reach the Dungeon Depths! (aired in 2025). He serves as the leader of the A-rank adventuring party Thunder Pike and is the childhood friend-turned-rival of the protagonist, Yuke Feldio.

In the anime version, Simon is portrayed as an arrogant, egotistical knight who delusions himself into believing he's a heroic tactical genius and a celebrated figure. In reality, he's reckless and incompetent in combat often charging ahead thoughtlessly (like a classic Leeroy Jenkins type) and relied heavily on Yuke to cover for his constant mistakes and keep the party successful. His fame stems more from live dungeon streaming and royal support than any genuine skill, something he conveniently overlooks.

He's a jerk who refuses to admit fault, mistreats others (including forcing slave collars and making threats), and becomes increasingly antagonistic after Yuke leaves Thunder Pike to join his former students in the party Clover. The anime gives him a notably harsher, more brutal fate compared to other versions of the story, involving dark magic, immortality curses, and prolonged torment as punishment for his actions and refusal to change.

Voiced by Yoshiki Nakajima (Japanese) and Stephen E. Moellering (English), he's the primary antagonist for the first half of the series before his arc concludes dramatically.
