Connla

Connla is a supporting character in High School DxD, particularly appearing in the light novels and the fourth season anime (High School DxD HERO).

He is a member of the Hero Faction (part of the Khaos Brigade), a group of humans who wield powerful Sacred Gears and aim to challenge supernatural beings to prove human potential.

Connla inherited the spirit/soul of the original Connla from Irish mythology—the son of the legendary hero Cú Chulainn. He possesses a Sacred Gear called Night Reflection (also known as the Shield of Dark Night), which lets him manipulate shadows to absorb attacks and redirect them as counterattacks from any shadow in its range. He later achieves a Sub-Species Balance Breaker form inspired by armored styles.

In appearance, he's depicted as a young man with black hair tied in a bun and often wearing shades. He first shows up during conflicts involving the Hero Faction and has some fights against protagonists like Issei. He's voiced by Kentarō Kumagai (Japanese) and Orion Pitts (English dub).
