About Sword Maiden

Sword Maiden (also known as the Sword Maiden) is a major supporting character in Goblin Slayer.

She is a beautiful, blind woman who serves as the Archbishop of the Supreme God at the Temple of Law in Water Town. She has long, wavy blonde hair often tied back, pale blue eyes usually hidden behind a black blindfold, and a voluptuous figure, dressed in elegant white and blue clerical robes.

Despite her calm, compassionate, and composed outward demeanor, she is deeply traumatized from a horrific past encounter with goblins during her time as a gold-ranked adventurer—where she was captured, tortured, and left scarred (including the loss of her sight). This experience left her with severe PTSD and an overwhelming fear of goblins, though she hides it behind her dignified role as a high-ranking religious figure with significant magical and political influence.

She becomes involved with Goblin Slayer after hiring him and his party to deal with a goblin infestation in her city's sewers, and she develops a complex admiration (and subtle crush) toward him for his relentless goblin-slaying expertise.
