Hyoga

Hyoga (full name Hyoga Akatsuki) is a prominent character in the anime Dr. Stone, particularly during the Stone Wars arc.

In the anime adaptation, he appears as a tall, well-built young man with short, loosely hanging white hair and dark purple eyes. He is almost always seen squinting (giving him a calm, somewhat mysterious expression), and he wears a black mask covering the lower half of his face to hide severe petrification scars, along with bird feathers around his neck and tan gloves.

Hyoga is an exceptionally skilled warrior, renowned for his masterful spearmanship (using a long spear in a traditional Kan-style technique passed down in his family). He was revived from petrification by Tsukasa Shishio specifically for his combat prowess and becomes one of the top fighters in the Empire of Might.

Personality-wise, Hyoga is calm, composed, and easy-going on the surface—even in tense or unfavorable situations—but he holds a ruthless, elitist worldview. He believes in a form of social Darwinism where only the skilled and talented deserve to survive and thrive in the new stone world, viewing the weak or unskilled as burdens. This makes him a dangerous and calculating antagonist early on, though his role evolves later in the story.
