Suzune Horikita

Suzune Horikita is one of the central characters in the anime Classroom of the Elite (Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou no Kyoushitsu e), serving as the deuteragonist and a key figure in Class 1-D (later progressing through the years).

Appearance: She is portrayed as a strikingly beautiful high school girl with long black hair, typically featuring a single braid tied with a ribbon on one side, and distinctive gradient red eyes. She usually maintains a stern, composed expression that matches her no-nonsense demeanor.

Personality: Suzune is highly intelligent, academically gifted, and talented in sports as well. She's serious, logical, and emotionally reserved—rarely showing feelings or getting fazed by situations. She comes across as cold, distant, and antisocial, often looking down on or avoiding unnecessary interaction with her classmates, which contributes to her placement in the lower-ranked Class D despite her abilities. Her driving motivation is to reach Class A, largely to earn recognition from her older brother Manabu (the former student council president), whom she deeply respects and seeks approval from.

Over the course of the anime, she gradually develops through her interactions (especially with the protagonist Kiyotaka Ayanokōji), showing subtle growth in understanding teamwork and relationships while staying true to her independent, determined nature.

She's a classic "ice queen" archetype with hidden depth and potential for change.
