Fate Graphite

Fate Graphite is the main protagonist of the anime Berserk of Gluttony (also known as Bōshoku no Berserk).

He is a young man working as a lowly gatekeeper in a world where people are born with special "skills" that determine their social status and power. Fate possesses the seemingly useless skill called Gluttony, which initially appears to do nothing but leave him in a constant state of unbearable hunger and malnutrition, causing him to be mistreated, looked down upon, and shunned by others (especially the arrogant Holy Knights and nobles).

His life changes dramatically when, in self-defense/line of duty, he kills someone and discovers the true nature of his Gluttony skill: it allows him to devour the stats, abilities, and even souls of those he defeats, rapidly making him stronger while satisfying his endless hunger. This awakening comes with risks, as failing to "feed" it can push him toward losing control. He later forms a pact with a sentient black sword named Greed that further enhances his growth.

In the anime's portrayal, Fate starts as a downtrodden, humble, and somewhat timid underdog but gradually becomes more determined and powerful as he learns to harness his cursed ability to take control of his fate. He has a slim build, black hair, and brown eyes (which can turn red when his hunger intensifies).

The story follows his journey from an oppressed nobody toward becoming a formidable force, often involving battles against monsters, corrupt figures, and his own inner struggles.
