Reiji Sugimoto is a Japanese S-Rank Hunter in the Solo Leveling anime. He serves as the vice-guild master (and later guild master) of Japan's top guild, the Draw Sword Guild (also called the Blade Guild), working closely under the guild's leader, Goto Ryuji.
In his anime appearance, he's depicted as a handsome young man with light green eyes and brown hair (often styled down to the sides of his neck in his initial scenes, and later in a ponytail during action-oriented moments). He typically wears formal business attire early on (like a gray jacket, white shirt, and black tie) before switching to the guild's black battle uniform.
Personality-wise, Reiji comes across as confident, cunning, and self-assured. He takes great pride in his guild's strength and reputation, showing strong belief in Japanese hunters' superiority (especially over Koreans) and loyalty to his guild's ambitions. He stays behind during the Jeju Island Raid (unlike most of his guild's S-Ranks), handling coordination from a support role, such as on a battleship offshore. Following major events and losses in the guild, he steps up to become its guild master.
He's a supporting character focused on the international/Japanese hunter politics side of the story, voiced by Yūya Uchida (Japanese) and Brandon McInnis (English).
