Ramposa III

Ramposa III is the aging king of the Re-Estize Kingdom in the Overlord anime (and light novels). He is portrayed as the last monarch of his nation before its eventual fall.

He appears as a frail, emaciated elderly man with sparse white hair, thin limbs, and poor health (including an old knee injury requiring a cane), reflecting his advanced age of around 60 and long reign of nearly 40 years.

Personality-wise, he is a humble and compassionate ruler who genuinely believes leaders should protect their people. He strives to maintain unity in a deeply divided kingdom plagued by corruption, noble infighting, and external threats (like the Baharuth Empire and later the Sorcerer Kingdom). Despite his good intentions, he is often seen as a mediocre or ineffective king, unable to decisively reform the decaying system or counter overwhelming forces.

He is the father of Prince Barbro, Prince Zanac, and Princess Renner, and places great trust in his loyal Warrior Captain, Gazef Stronoff. His story arc highlights themes of tragic leadership in a brutal world.
