Shiroe

Shiroe (real name: Kei Shirogane) is the main protagonist of Log Horizon. He's a veteran player of the MMORPG Elder Tale, trapped in the game world after the "Apocalypse" event.

In the game, he's a Half-Alv Enchanter (a support/magic class focused on buffs, debuffs, and strategy rather than raw damage), and he also has the Scribe subclass. Known for his sharp intellect and exceptional strategic mind, he was formerly the key strategist for the legendary (informal) raid group Debauchery Tea Party.

He's often called names like "Villain in Glasses," "Black Heart Glasses," or "Dark Shiroe" due to his calculating nature, cunning plans, and habit of pushing up his glasses while scheming. Despite his somewhat cold or socially awkward demeanor, he's independent, responsible, and works toward building a stable society for the trapped players (such as founding the Round Table Council in Akiba and the Log Horizon guild).

In real life, he's a 23-year-old engineering graduate student with a slender build, black hair, and glasses—looking quite similar to his in-game avatar.
