Naotsugu

Naotsugu (real name: Naotsugu Hasegawa) is one of the main characters in Log Horizon. He's a 25-year-old businessman in the real world and a veteran player of the MMORPG Elder Tale.

In the game (and the trapped world), he appears as a tall (about 183 cm / 6 feet), sturdy Human Guardian (tank class) with short grayish hair, lively eyes, and a roguish smile, usually clad in heavy steel armor with a large shield.

He's Shiroe's longtime friend from their days in the legendary Debauchery Tea Party group, serving as a reliable frontline tank with skills like Anchor Howl to draw enemy aggression.

Personality-wise, Naotsugu is cheerful, laid-back, patient, and acts like the big-brother figure in the group. He proudly calls himself an "open pervert" (or "Warrior of Panties"), frequently making lewd jokes—especially about women's underwear—which often earns him physical retribution (like a knee to the face) from Akatsuki. Despite his perverted humor, he's a solid, dependable ally who prioritizes protecting his friends.
