Akeno Himejima

Akeno Himejima is one of the main female characters in High School DxD.

She is a third-year student at Kuoh Academy (later a college student in the story), serving as the Vice-President of the Occult Research Club. She is Rias Gremory's Queen in her peerage and one of her closest friends, often regarded as one of Kuoh Academy's "Two Great Ladies" alongside Rias.

Akeno is the daughter of Baraqiel (a high-ranking Fallen Angel) and Shuri Himejima (from the prestigious Himejima Clan of Shinto priestesses), making her a half-human, half-Fallen Angel hybrid. After a tragic event involving her mother's death, she was reincarnated as a Devil under Rias. She wields powerful holy lightning-based abilities inherited from her father.

In terms of appearance, she is depicted as a stunning young woman with a voluptuous figure, very long black hair typically worn in a ponytail, and striking violet eyes.

Personality-wise, she initially presents as elegant, gentle, polite, and refined — the ideal "Yamato Nadeshiko" (traditional Japanese lady) — but she also has a playful, teasing, and somewhat sadistic side (especially in her interactions with Issei Hyoudou), along with deeper emotional layers tied to her past and heritage. She becomes one of Issei’s fiancées as the story progresses.
