Spider Demon (Mother) (also called Mother Spider Demon) is a supporting antagonist in the Mount Natagumo Arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
She is a member of the Spider Family, a group of demons led by Lower Moon Rui, where she was forced into the role of "mother" despite being one of the youngest demons in the family (her original human appearance was quite different, and she altered herself extensively to fit Rui's ideal).
Appearance: She has pale white skin, teal eyelashes and nails, red circular facial markings, bushy eyebrows, long white hair tied into thick strands with teal orbs, and a short, curvaceous build. She wears a layered kimono (white outer, maroon inner) that exposes part of her chest and legs, often going barefoot.
Personality & Role: Like most demons, she is cruel and murderous toward humans, using her Blood Demon Art — manipulating victims like puppets with silk threads attached via small spiders — to control and force Demon Slayers to kill each other. However, she lives in deep fear and abuse from Rui and the "Father" for not perfectly fulfilling her role, still clinging to some lingering human emotions and memories, which makes her a somewhat tragic figure. In her final moments during her fight with Tanjiro, she accepts death gratefully as a release and even wishes him luck.
She serves as one of the early, memorable challenges for Tanjiro and Inosuke on Natagumo Mountain.
